Man says firearms stolen from storage

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to a man recently who said several firearms were stolen from his storage building.

Carla Phillips filed a report after a red 2000 Chevrolet Suburban, with tag number of 593-ALT, was stolen last week.

Tom Estes filed a theft report Tuesday, and told deputies he later found some of his property at a local scrap yard.

Employees took a report from Houston Trailer Sales this week after a lock was cut on a gate.
