Deputies take report of musical equipment stolen from church

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report this week after musical equipment was stolen from a church.

Johnnie Winkle said an unknown suspect burglarized the Rocky Ford Community Church. Among the items taken were a WK-8000 Casio keyboard; a Crate bass amp 160; a Peavey microphone 535N; a Peavey PA head with two 48-inch column speakers; two Peavey speakers, 24 inches and 28 inches; and a remote microphone with a receiver.

In other matters, deputies took a theft report this week made on behalf of Brenda Vann. Vann’s family said some of her property was taken while she is in custody on federal criminal charges.

Ray Caviness reported a home burglary last week and said a couch, bed and other items were taken.
