Man reports attack with crow bar, piece of pipe

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report this week after a man said he was attacked with a crow bar and piece of pipe.

Colton Sparks told deputies a 15-year-old boy hit him in the back two times with the crow bar, then grabbed a piece of PVC pipe and hit him two more times. Deputies also spoke with Shellie Sparks, who said the same boy later hit her over the head with an oscillating fan, which broke into pieces. The teen was taken to a juvenile detention facility.

In other matters, John Leach filed a theft report this week after a roll of copper was taken.

Sara Hamby told deputies a man entered a home uninvited this week. The man was belligerent and likely intoxicated, she said. She was eventually able to force him outside and she locked the door.

Juanita Bailey filed a report recently after a gun was stolen.

Patty Dailey reported the theft of property recently, and some of the items were recovered by deputies.
