Police Beat: Police arrest man after theft, assault of minor

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man this week after he allegedly assaulted a minor and later tried to steal items from Reasor’s.

Police said they were investigating the alleged assault by Corey Wayne Christie, 40, of Tahlequah, when Christie attempted to leave Reasor’s without paying for two 30-packs of Budweiser and ice cream. Police said Christie had, the night before, been accused of assaulting a juvenile female at a carnival in town.

Dustin A. Duchesne, 21, of Rose, was arrested Friday for driving under the influence of drugs.

Kasey Terry, 19, of Park Hill, was arrested for drug possession Friday night after a traffic stop near Stick Ross Mountain Road and the bypass.

Christian R. Hooper, 23, of Park Hill, was arrested after police responded to a call of an intoxicated man passed out on the ground near Basin and Fourth Street Friday.

Janice Logan, 43, of Bunch, was arrested Saturday for allegedly shoplifting from Wal-Mart. Reports show Logan was arrested on the same charge, at the same business, two days prior.

Kelly Pritchett, 37, of Stilwell, was arrested last week for allegedly shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

Henry Dye, 38, of Tahlequah, was arrested last week for alcohol and drug-possession charges.

Police took a report from Oak Park Motel Saturday about vandalism.

Rachel Wallace filed a report about a protective order violation Wednesday.

Anita Deiter reported the theft of a rear-view mirror Thursday.
