Sheriff's Beat: Two accused of stealing merchandise from store

TAHLEQUAH — Two men were arrested recently after they were allegedly caught stealing merchandise from the Oklahoma Station.

Jonathan Cales Gonzales, 22, of Bunch, and Jareth Duand Pettit, 20, of Stilwell, were booked on three counts of petit larceny. Deputies said video surveillance showed the men, who worked near the store, taking items several different days.

In other matters, county sheriff’s deputies took a report from Michael Hasel Friday when Hasel discovered a 2001 Polaris 325 Magnum missing.

Sarah Halom reported an assault last week.

Stormie Brackett spoke with deputies about threats that were made recently.

Jacklyn Demoss filed a harassment report last week.
