Police Beat: Man picked up for DUI

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a local man late Monday evening for driving under the influence.

Police officers said they stopped and arrested 27-year-old Luis B. Escalera near Fox Street after Escalera’s vehicle ran an officer’s patrol car off the road.

Dale E. Eastwood, 54, of Welling, was arrested Monday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

Police responded Monday and spoke with Daniel Shroff about an assault.

Charles Tannehill told officers last week that several items are missing from his residence.

Rebecca Dugan reported the theft of medication last week.
