Teen girl reports assault

TAHLEQUAH — County sheriff’s deputies took a report last week after a teenage girl said she was assaulted by her mother.

The girl said her mother grabbed her by the ankle while she was in bed, pulled her out of the bed, and then down a hallway. The woman allegedly tried to kick her daughter, then got on top of her and held her face into the carpet, preventing her from breathing.

In other matters, deputies filed a report this week on the recent arrest of Ashley Nicole Adair, 23, of Tahlequah. Adair was booked for driving under the influence of drugs, possession of paraphernalia, and contributing to a minor.

Margot Welch reported the theft of a check this week.

Deputies recently took a report on the theft of a green and white, 17-foot, 1977 Nomad travel trailer from Riverside Resort.

Robert Cook filed a report this week after about 100 T-posts were stolen.
