Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Stillwater man last week near the Illinois River.
Deputy Daniel Pruitt said he was patrolling near Diamondhead Resort when a security guard reported that someone fell out of a truck. Pruitt later saw that truck stop, and saw Cory Alexander Jones, 21, get out of the truck. Jones allegedly appeared unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol. Jones told deputies he didn’t know how much alcohol he had consumed, and refused to take the state’s test on what he said was advice from his lawyer. Pruitt arrested Jones for actual physical control.
Deputies arrested a couple last week after a traffic stop. Dana Lee Crone, 53, of Fort Gibson, was driving the vehicle and nearly fell out of the truck when attempting to get out for deputies. She was arrested for driving under the influence, and had a breath-alcohol content of .09, deputies said. The passenger in the vehicle, Larry Linn Crone, 63, was booked for public intoxication and terroristic threats. Deputies said Larry Crone made a death threat toward a deputy when he was being transported to jail.
Trae Allen Clouse, 22, of Tahlequah, was arrested recently for obstruction and possession of paraphernalia. Clouse allegedly admitted he had smoke synthetic marijuana and was in possession of a smoking device that contained a burnt residue.
Deputies took a report from Sylvester Hackworth Wednesday after a high-standard military trophy pistol was stolen.
Jimmy McDaniel reported the theft of two framing guns, several staple guns, a Dewalt cordless finish nailer and drill, and other items Wednesday.
Jerry Leonard reported the theft of an orange and gray riding lawn mower this week. Leonard said the mower is a 26-horse-power, 54-inch-cut machine with a split seat and in-line fuel valve.
Sarah Hicks told deputies a 42-inch JVC television was stolen from her living room.
