Pair arrested after traffic stop

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested two people over the weekend after a traffic stop.

David L. Copeland, 51, of Catoosa, was arrested for driving under the influence. Cynthia Stillwell, 43, of Cookson, was booked for public intoxication.

John Jacob Streck, 28, of Hennessey, was arrested for DUI Saturday. Deputies said Streck had a breath-alcohol content of .09.

Deputies spoke to James Fields last week about the theft of money.

Ronnie Morgan reported a trailer stolen Saturday.

Kristie Boston spoke with deputies recently after she was hit in the face with a can of cat food.

Tori Wiseley reported the theft of an AT&T Samsung Infuse cell phone this week.

Jonathon Terrorez reported the theft of a 2-month-old, red-nosed pitbull terrier. The canine is brown with a white patch on its chest.
