Deputies say man stabbed himself with steak knife

TAHLEQUAH — Sheriff’s deputies responded Tuesday after receiving a report that a man had stabbed himself with a steak knife.

Deputies arrived at a home in South Breeze Trailer Park and found David V. Finch in a recliner with a knife stuck into his abdomen. Finch was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Deputies were told Finch had talked of harming himself “for a while,” and was upset over some legal issues he is facing.

In other matters, E.B. Hughes filed a report after a protective order was violated last week against one of Hughes’ family members.

Ronnie Davis this week reported the theft of DVDs.

Dawn Osburn told deputies Monday that money was taken from her wallet. A suspect was identified, but disappeared from the area. Osburn said the suspect was the only person in the area when the money was taken.

Dale Hall reported the theft of medication this week.

Dorothy Green spoke with deputies recently about the theft of a PlayStation 3.

Deputies took a report from Deborah Kimble last week after her purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Teresa Walkabout reported violation of a protective order recently.

Ashley Spahr told deputies that representatives of her bank notified her about possible unauthorized purchases on her account.

Carl Shade recently filed a burglary report, and told deputies car titles, Social Security numbers and other important information was stolen from the residence.
