HULBERT — Prosecutors have filed charges against a Hulbert man accused of exposing himself to others in late December.

Sammie Brian Henson, 41, is accused of indecent exposure, assault on a police officer, resisting an officer, and public intoxication.

According to prosecutors, Henson exposed his privates on West Main Street in Hulbert on Dec. 29. At least one witness saw Henson expose himself, according to the charges. Henson is also accused of striking Hulbert Officer Tom Pryor and obstructing other authorities when he was arrested; and again when he was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.

If convicted, Henson could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000 for indecent exposure; six months in prison and a fine of up to $500 for assaulting a police officer; up to a year in jail for resisting; and five to 30 days for public intoxication.
