Fort Gibson man jailed for selling pills

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a Fort Gibson man last week after he allegedly sold dozens of prescription pills during an undercover operation.

Johnny Ray Watkins, 53, was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center for distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. He was given a $15,000 bond and remained behind bars Tuesday.

According to an arrest affidavit, Watkins arranged to meet up with a buyer last week in Tahlequah. Watkins allegedly agreed to sell Oxycodone for cash.
