Police Beat: Police arrest two after finding them behind business

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested two men Saturday night after finding them behind the Skatehouse.

Police saw the men walking behind the business on North Grand Avenue and stopped to talk with them. Officers said both men –  19-year-old Mason L. Winters, of Tulsa, and 19-year-old Kevin L. Gardner, of Frisco, Texas – were intoxicated.

Robert Scott, 46, of Tahlequah, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart and public intoxication Saturday. Employees at Walmart told police Scott took food from the deli area and ate the food, then discarded the container. When employees confronted Scott, he allegedly told them he would pay for the food, even though he’d already consumed it. Walmart staff attempted to get Scott to provide his information to them, but he instead refused and left.

Nickolas R. Renfro, 21, of Tahlequah, was arrested Friday when he allegedly concealed a holster at Walmart and tried to leave without paying.

Officers took a fraud report Friday from Mary Birmingham.

Kathy Briggs told police she was threatened Saturday.

Candice Andrews told police Thursday that she received a threat from a man who lives in another city.

Officers spoke with Terry Huff Saturday about an altercation.

Cynthia Spering filed a threats report Saturday.
