Sheriff Report: Fort Gibson man arrested after traffic stop in area

TAHLEQUAH — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fort Gibson man this week after a traffic stop.

Zachary Michael Barnett, 27, was booked for driving under the influence of drugs and taxes due state. Deputies said Barnett’s vehicle smelled of marijuana, and he admitted he had found a “roach” in his ash tray and smoked it before he drove. Barnett told deputies it was “legal 12 hours from” Tahlequah, according to his arrest report. Barnett was taken to a local hospital for a blood test before he was booked into jail.

In other matters, deputies took a report last week from Sarah Rogers-Busby, who said her home was burglarized. Rogers-Busby reported a wood stove and Internet routers were missing.

Bettie Burnett filed an information report recently.

Deputies took a report Monday about a 7-year-old who was bitten by a dog.
