TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police on Wednesday received a report from a woman of an attempted sexual assault.

The woman entered the Tahlequah Police Department shortly after noon to file the complaint. Police have not made an arrest.

On Wednesday, police received a call from Walmart by Margie A. Hayes of Sallisaw, who reported that her checks were being counterfeited and two had been cashed in Tahlequah.

Employees at Big B called police Tuesday morning after a woman entered the store, took a 30-pack of Bud Light and a 30-pack of Budweiser, acted like she was going to pay for it, but ran out the door and jumped into a truck that sped away. Officers said the truck was later found, but no one was inside.

Forrest D. Barnett reported on Monday that three people were damaging his vehicle while parked at a residence on Earl Street.
