Man jailed for theft

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a local man last week after he allegedly shoplifted shoes from Walmart.

Austin Stephens, 19, of Tahlequah, allegedly ran from Walmart without paying for a pair of shoes, which he wore when he left the store.

Wesley R. Martin, 31, of Tahlequah, was arrested Thursday for petit larceny after allegedly shoplifting at Reasor’s.

Joanna Harris spoke with police last week about the unauthorized use of a credit card.
