Police Beat: Police say inmate caught tearing up mattress

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police say a jail inmate was caught tearing up a mattress over the weekend. Lachelle A. Heskett, 26, of Stilwell, was arrested by officers Friday night when she and 54-year-old Russell K. Patrick, Tahlequah, were caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Police said a jail administrator caught Heskett ripping apart her cell mattress on Saturday night.

In other matters, Aaron J. Hartsell, 22, of Durango, Colo., was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested Saturday evening for shoplifting from Wal-Mart. Police said they also found marijuana in the boy’s possession.

Lori J. Hunt, 18, of Hulbert, was arrested Saturday evening for allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

Jodie Morgan, 30, and Amanda D. Baughman, 25, both of Park Hill, were arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

Officers took an assault report from Aaron Hughes last week.

Jesus Chap filed an information report Friday.

Rosamaria Whittle rep-orted violation of a protective order last Wednesday.

Dakota Choate spoke with officers about an assault earlier this month.

Amber Sebastian told police last week that a man had forged one of her checks for $200.

Thomas Montgomery told police last week his property was burglarized.

Officers took a report last week from Kandis Robinson, who reported a violation of a protective order.

Police were called to Bumble Bee Trailer Park Friday on a disturbance.

James Cochran told police that about 16 feet of metal grates were stolen from a drainage ditch near Park Hill and the bypass last week.
