TAHLEQUAH — The United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma has postponed impeachment hearings for its chief, deputy chief, treasurer and secretary until further notice.

The hearings were slated for Tuesday, Dec. 3, but were delayed by Chief George Wickliffe because Deputy Chief Charles Locust was unable to attend.

Wickliffe filed for Worley’s impeachment, and Worley filed impeachment documents against Wickliffe, Locust and Secretary Joyce Hawk. Worley alleges financial misconduct against the chief and deputy chief.
