Child custody flap nets arrest of man

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Welling man this week after responding to a child-custody dispute.

Patrick Wayne Flynn, 22, was booked into jail for possession of marijuana. Deputies said Flynn had a bong with remnants of burnt marijuana.

In other matters, Aubry Mouse reported a stolen vehicle tag this week.

Kreg Dobson told deputies an unknown suspect broke into a garage and stolen items.

Laurie Bohanon reported two dogs were dumped in an area and began chasing cattle.

Jamie Rodriguez told deputies this week a window was busted out of his home by a known suspect.

Deputies took a report from the nature conservancy in Proctor after a building was burglarized. Deputies said multiple items were taken, including two flatbed trailers, a set of wheels and tires, a chain, and fuel.
