Police Beat: Woman jailed for public intoxication, assault


TAHLEQUAH — A Tahlequah woman found herself behind bars Monday evening after callers said she was running down the road while intoxicated.

Sherry K. Justice, 35, of Tahlequah, was booked for public intoxication. Police said Justice was under the influence of narcotics, and a methamphetamine pipe was found in Justice’s jacket when she was being booked into jail. Police later added charges of simple assault against Justice when Kathleen Moore filed a report.

Justin Hunter, 25, of Tahlequah, was arrested Monday for allegedly taking merchandise from Walmart and running.

Jaicey Robertson, 19, of Beggs, was arrested Tuesday morning for driving under the influence.

Kasi Hooper, 21, of Park Hill, was arrested Monday for criminal trespass at Walmart.

Katina Pacheco, 44, of Tahlequah, was arrested last week for allegedly embezzling more than $5,600 worth of merchandise from Walmart while she was employed there.

In other matters, officers spoke to Sazare Marquez on Sunday about a burglary.

Walmart employees spoke with officers last week after a man and woman tried to leave the store without paying for items.

Gary Scott filed a harassment report Monday.
