Police Beat: Shoplifter caught at Walmart

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police responded to Walmart on Wednesday afternoon when a shoplifter was caught.

Stephanie Stroud, 28, of Tahlequah, was booked into jail for petit larceny

Police filed a report Wednesday on the arrest of one man – 19-year-old Bryson Chatman, of Wagoner – and four juveniles who were involved in a fight at a party in Southridge.

Employees at the Dollar General on East Downing told police this week that two people took a stack of plastic chairs from the front of the store and ran from the area. The chairs were later found in the front yard of a nearby residence.

Employees at Walmart spoke to police Wednesday after a woman concealed items in her purse and left the store without paying for the merchandise.
