Police Beat: Pair arrested after car found parked in area

TAHLEQUAH — Two Oklahomans were arrested this week after police found a car parked in a wooded area of the city at 11 Tuesday night.

Officer Pam Bell said she was patrolling near Oklahoma and Northwoods when she spotted the car and found 19-year-old Eden M. Whorton, of Locust Grove, and 20-year-old Jesse N. Tiger, of Claremore. Bell said the two were arrested after admitting they had smoked marijuana. Bell logged into evidence the marijuana and associated paraphernalia.

Jason L. Bush, 38, of Muskogee, was arrested Monday for driving under the influence, left of center, defective equipment, transporting an open container, no insurance and no driver’s license.

Dustin W. Duvall, 23, of Tahlequah, was arrested Tuesday for petit larceny after allegedly leaving Wal-Mart without purchasing items concealed in a plastic bag.

Employees at BancFirst on Ross told police three people entered the bank and cashed a stolen check. One of the three wrote his identification card number on the check.

Christian Hooper spoke with police this week to report a stolen back pack.

Roger Goode reported a radio stolen from his truck last week.

Idella Naktewa reported the theft of property from a storage unit this week.

Doris McAnally told police Tuesday that a neighbor’s guineas roam free and have gotten into her yard numerous times.

Kaitlin Hawkins reported a stolen iPhone Tuesday.
