Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Park Hill man last weekend after an alleged violation of a protective order.
Charles Louis Collier, 57, was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on the violation. Deputies said Collier – who frequently refers to himself as “The Rebel” – was involved in an ongoing issue that ultimately ended up in court at the request of Adult Protective Services. A judge granted a protective order for the alleged victim in the case and ordered Collier to have no contact with the woman.
Collier was allegedly told to stay away from a certain trailer park as part of the protective order, but was seen there on Saturday. Deputies later spotted him and were involved in a struggle while trying to arrest Collier, who cursed the deputies and the Cherokee County court system, according to a report of the incident.
