Deputies arrest man for public intoxication


TAHLEQUAH — County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man recently for public intoxication.

Joshua Martin Matthews, 32, of Hulbert, was reportedly intoxicated by some form of narcotic. Deputies said he was destroying a house with a baseball bat.

Mandy Kay Kincade, 37, of Tahlequah, was issued a citation recently for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Johnnie Mitchell, 36, of Eufaula, was arrested Tuesday for public intoxication-drugs. Mitchell was allegedly seen unsteady on her feet in the Woodall area, and told officers she’d taken medication that day. Officers said Mitchell had a white, powdery residue around her lips.

James Wilson spoke to deputies Tuesday about the theft of a chainsaw.

Wendy Hovey filed a report this week about receiving obscene text messages.

Karen Kelso reported the theft of a late-1970s-model truck bed and furniture patio set this week.

Sheila Mattler said her mini-storage building was burglarized and several items were taken, including camping equipment, tents, and boxes of Christmas items.

Brandon Kilpatrick, a foreman for Keys Rural Water District No. 2, reported 400 feet of pipe stolen from a work site off of Carter’s Landing Road.

Justin Buford told deputies a family member pointed a firearm at him several times after Buford told him to get off his property.

Chelsen Hood spoke to deputies Tuesday and said he was assaulted by a family member with a steel pipe. He said a window on his vehicle was also broken with the pipe.
