Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to a woman last week about fraud.
Pauletta Johnson said someone broken into her vehicle and stole her purse in 2010. Last week, she got two separate notifications in the mail indicating a man had applied for some type of credit using her personal information.
David Bailey spoke to deputies last Friday and said a saddle, which had been stolen nearly three years ago, was spotted at a team-roping event in early October.

Deputies were called Sunday to Mud Valley Road and South 480 Road after a Lake Region electrical pole was shot several times. Oil from the top of the pole leaked onto the ground and caught fire.
Ronnie Harvey told deputies Saturday that his neighbors’ dogs have killed nearly 40 of his chickens and three rabbits.
Charla Richards told deputies she was driving Friday when another vehicle began to tailgate her. When a school bus stopped in front of her to load children, the driver behind her exited the vehicle and began to bang on Richards’ window and yell at her.
