Police Beat - Local teen arrested

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a local teenager this week after a traffic stop near Ross and Cherokee.

Sammatha Langworthy, 18, of Tahlequah, was booked for driving under the influence. She was stopped by police for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign.

Holli Powers spoke to officers last week after she was assaulted.

Erica McGregor filed an information report Tuesday.

Blake Gower spoke to police Tuesday about a vehicle being stolen from a friend’s house on Choctaw Street.

Jo Joy reported destruction of property Tuesday.

Janet Ingram spoke to police recently after finding 17 locks cut off of storage buildings. One renter, Starla Whicker, told police several items were missing from her storage building.
