Police Beat: Three arrested at Tahlequah hotel on drug complaint

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah Police Department officers made three arrests at Best Western Motel  Feb. 25 after receiving a complaint from management that guests were using drugs.

Anthony E. Walker, 28; Anthony W. Elmore, 22; and Nicholl M. Newman-Iliff, 21, all of Stilwell, were taken into custody. The TPD report alleges the three were under the influence of narcotics and that drugs and paraphernalia were found in their room.

On Monday, a woman reported the theft of a lawn trimmer and electronics stolen from a storage building near her residence on Park Hill Road.

A woman told police Monday that a man in his 20s stole her purse after she gave him a ride during the cold weather.

Also on Monday, an officer visited the Walmart Supercenter at 2020 S. Muskogee Ave. to arrest Allison C. Kinkead, 19. The store’s asset protection department apprehended Kinkead on suspicion of shoplifting.

On Sunday, police responded to a noise complaint at a residence on Coy Avenue. The owner was cited for social hosting.

A woman filed a report at the TPD, stating her black wallet was stolen from her work locker on Sunday at the Walmart Superstore.

Also on Sunday, police took Damion R. Martin, 18, into custody at Walmart on suspicion of trying to shoplift a tube of glue.

Jason Archer, 28, was arrested at Walmart Sunday by asset protection and turned over to police custody. Archer was accused of trying to shoplift gloves, a knit cap and a shirt.

On Saturday, police took Jamie Walker, 28, into custody at Walmart. Walker was arrested by asset protection on suspicion of shoplifting.

An officer investigated an accusation of assault and battery by a woman at a residence on Sooner Drive on Saturday. The woman reported she let herself into her ex-boyfriend’s house with a key to look for her sunglasses. She claimed she sustained a twisted ankle after her ex-boyfriend pushed her out the door. No arrest was made.

Also on Saturday, police responded to a report of a protective order violation on College Ave. Whitney Harshman told officers that Nickolas Eller, 35, was jumping on her car. Police found Eller near the victim’s residence, and placed him under arrest on suspicion of violating a protective order.

Deann Johnson, 55, of Tulsa was arrested Saturday on suspicion of DUI and involvement in an hit-and-run accident near South Muskogee Avenue and Mimosa Lane.

On Friday, police investigated a report of a woman leaving through the back door of Payless Shoe Store after taking a single shoe from a shoe box.

Two reports were taken on Friday about vandalism to automobiles.

Also on Friday, an officer responded to an investigation of a break-in at a residence on Allen Road. The owner reported the theft of video games and consoles, cash and a cell phone.

Police visited Walmart on Friday to take a person under citizen’s arrest into custody. Sherri Whitehead, 62, was booked into the Tahlequah City Jail on suspicion of petit larceny.

Police on Friday responded to a call at Bill’s Body Shop about a stolen trailer. The trailer, stolen from outside Cherokee County, had been purchased by a Tahlequah man. The trailer was returned to its original owner.

After responding to a report of a domestic disturbance Friday, police arrested Harold Blossom, 49, on a complaint of domestic assault and battery by his daughter, Cassandra Blossom.

On Thursday, a TPD officer visited Help-In-Crisis to take a complaint from a woman accusing her ex-mother- and sister-in-law of harassment.

On Feb. 25, a woman visited the police department to report she had received threats over the phone.
