Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Tahlequah woman last week for allegedly driving under the influence.
Tamara Lynn Lyman, 52, was stopped by deputies after she was reported as being a possible drunken driver. Lyman allegedly admitted she had three or four shots of vodka and had consumed one shot before she began driving to town. Deputies said Lyman had a 2-year-old in the front seat of the vehicle, with no child restraint. When deputies tried to conduct field tests, Lyman allegedly swayed on her feet, but told deputies she had previously broken both of her ankles and couldn’t do the test. Deputies said she had a .17 breath-alcohol content, more than twice the legal limit.
Brandon Snell, 34, Tahlequah, was arrested Friday for domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor and resisting arrest. Snell allegedly refused to exit a home and resisted being handcuffed. Deputies said Snell apparently bit a woman on the arm after he arrived home drunk and started an argument.
Marice Leahan Leoppard, 32, of Hulbert, was arrested last week for driving while impaired.
Mark Allen Winchester Jr., 26, was arrested Friday for domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor child.
Deputies took a break-in report last week from Jerry Davis.
Gene Frost reported a 10-by-8-foot trailer stolen last week. The trailer is white with a Mississippi tag of “Frost1.”
Kandis Gritts reported her medication being stolen Sunday.
Brandon Hamilton reported a Garmin GPS and medication being stolen from a car Monday.
Deputies spoke to Candy Girdner this week after a mailbox was vandalized and left in a ditch.
Christie Jones filed a vandalism report Saturday.
Patricia Cheek told deputies last week she was unable to find her bank card and later discovered her bank account had been used fraudulently. Deputies also spoke to Bobbi Stoneberger, who said half of her clothes were taken, along with a cell phone, and that the inside of a home was destroyed.
Deputies took a report from a juvenile last week after a woman allegedly hit the child with a cooking utensil, causing bruises to the child’s face, arm, leg, and buttocks. The report is being investigated.

James Sharum reported a home burglary Friday.
Jarryd Smith told deputies this week that he caught someone breaking into vehicles, and the suspect ran away.
