Area man arrested for public intoxication

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Monday after responding to a disturbance.

Joshua Cooper, 33, was booked for public intoxication.

In other matters, deputies took a report from Amanda Hornett earlier this month about the violation of a protective order.

Jason Stewart told deputies recently that his air conditioner was taken out of his trailer while he was gone.

Juanita Gay filed an information report Monday.

Patrick Synar reported vandalism to his mailbox this month.

Barbara Anderson reported the theft of a chainsaw last week.

Katie Neeley filed a trespassing report last week.

Sheila Asher filed a threats report Sunday.
