Pair jailed for assault

TAHLEQUAH — Two people were arrested Wednesday evening after an assault.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Matthew Thompson, 35, and Tracy Thompson, 36, for domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor. Deputies said the siblings assaulted a family member in the presence of a 14-year-old and 3-year-old.

In other matters, employees of Subway in Keys filed a report after unknown suspects broke the glass out of a door.

Karen Pierson reported a home burglary last week and said medication, a DVD player, and an army knife were taken.
