TAHLEQUAH — A Welling woman was booked into jail Sunday after she was spotted allegedly driving down the road in the wrong lane.

Sarah Nicole Whitmore, 20, was booked into jail for driving under the influence. Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies said Whitmore was driving with no headlights on and was heading south in the north-bound lane. She nearly hit other cars, deputies said. After she was arrested, Whitmore allegedly blew a .21 breath-alcohol content.

In other matters, deputies arrested Dusty Allen Drywater, 30, of Tahlequah, for driving under revocation on Friday.

Kathryn Schoonover-Redden filed a general information report with deputies last week.

Joel Donohue told deputies Saturday that his home’s alarm system sounded when an unknown suspect attempted to pry his or her way into the home and garage. Donohue said lumber was also stolen, along with some “no-trespassing” signs.

Veliecia Ferrell reported being threatened Saturday.
