Man jailed for assault

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man last week after responding to investigate a disturbance.

Matthew Lee Diver, 29, of Tahlequah, was booked into jail for domestic violence-assault and battery and public intoxication.

Justin Brooks, 27, of Tahlequah, was arrested Friday for an outstanding warrant from Cherokee County.

Carolyn Diver filed a threats report Tuesday.

Police spoke with a man early Wednesday morning when he awoke and found someone inside his residence. The suspect then ran out the door.
