Coin boxes burglarized

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police took a report Wednesday afternoon when the owner of a car wash discovered coin boxes were burglarized.

Stephanie Smith spoke with police at the car wash on West Choctaw and said three coin boxes were broken into. Money was removed from the boxes, and the cut locks were left on the ground.

In other matters, Inez Deckard reported a home burglary and said a laptop computer was stolen.

Matthew Diver reported being assaulted this week.

Joe Evans spoke with police Wednesday about his vehicle being vandalized. Evans said suspects took medication, two rolls of quarters, a roll of dimes, silver dollars, silver half-dollars, and other change.

Lanina Nolan spoke with police about a possible gunshot being fired toward her Tuesday. Officers spoke with others and were told the electricity had gone out about the same time, and they assumed a transformer might have blown.

Jamie Stout spoke with officers Wednesday to report the violation of a protective order.
