Police Beat: Fort Gibson man charged with DUI

TAHLEQUAH — Officers of the Tahlequah Police Department arrested a Fort Gibson man on Tuesday and charged him with DUI.

Gary D. McGregor, 43, was pulled over at Dano’s on North Grand Avenue. The police report states McGregor was stopped on suspicion of being under the influence, and that his preliminary breath test result was .13.

On Tuesday, police investigated a complaint of stolen money by a woman who claimed a man approached her about building a carport at her residence on Earl Street. The woman claimed the man asked for a sandwich, and when she returned to the living room, he had left with the money for the building.

A property manager for residences on North Vinita Avenue filed a vandalism report Tuesday, complaining that someone had driven over several mailboxes.

Also on Tuesday, a Fort Gibson man visited the police station to report the theft of a Keltec .380 pistol from his truck while it was at Lehman Auto Repair.

On Monday, police responded to a report of a prowler on South Seminole Avenue. A man said he saw a woman trying to get in to his girlfriend’s vehicle. The woman was described as a teen wearing shorts with leggings and a turquoise hoodie.
