Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman last week after she was stopped for speeding east of Tahlequah.
Angela M. Walkingstick, 45, of Tahlequah, was booked into jail for driving under the influence of drugs. Deputies said Walkingstick smelled of marijuana and had a hard time keeping her balance during sobriety tests. She allegedly admitted to smoking “two bowls [of marijuana] from a pipe,” deputies said in their arrest report. She declined to take a state sobriety test.
Donald Ray Wilder, 64, of Tahlequah, was arrested for violation of a protective order last week.
Christy Faye Maher, 20, was arrested Sunday for domestic assault and battery on a minor.
In other matters, Larry Harris filed a report recently about a man blocking a county road with vehicles, lawn mowers, a trailer and all-terrain vehicles.
Evelyn Richmond reported the theft of an air compressor, which was later located at a Tahlequah pawn shop.
Mary L. Smith spoke with deputies last week about the violation of a protective order.
