Woman booked for assault

TAHLEQUAH — County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman Wednesday after an assault.

Kylee Mahurin, 19, was booked for public intoxication and assault and battery. Deputies said Mahurin had asked a family member to take her to a hospital. Deputies were called and followed the family en route to the hospital. Then the vehicle began to swerve and ran off the road. Deputies said Mahurin assaulted the family member who was driving. Mahurin refused to cooperate with hospital staff, and was taken to jail.

Jessica Kelly filed a fraud report Wednesday.

Samantha Booth told deputies this week that pills were taken from her purse.

Tami Stark reported the theft of a blue and chrome wheelchair Wednesday.

Glen Haddock reported theft of a debit card.
