Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke with a woman this week who said one of her children suffered scrapes and bruises while staying at a family member’s house.
The woman said she was required by the Department of Human Services to remove her children from her home in order to clean her home. She took the children to a family member’s home, and when she picked them up, one child had the injuries that were not there when she was dropped off.
In other matters, deputies spoke to Joellen Reed this week when Reed said she was being harassed by a man who was also sending her threatening text messages.

Andrea Henson told deputies several items, including a 32-inch LCD TV, DVD player, two laptop computers, a .22 caliber long rifle, two boxes of rolled coins, a Tracfone, a Leap Pad and a Wii player.
Barbra Adair spoke to deputies about a residential burglary recently.
Steven Wegner filed an information report Wednesday.
Jessica Statz reported a home and vehicle burglary last week and said several guns were taken, along with medication and jewelry.
Bradley Anderson spoke with deputies last week after he was assaulted by an unknown suspect.
Amanda Ingram reported a home burglary Saturday.
Amos Rouell spoke with deputies this week about a burglary where the suspect took napkins, ketchup, mustard, gum, $4 and an Armstrong Bank card.
