Officers respond to crash


TAHLEQUAH — On Sunday, officers of the Tahlequah Police Department responded to a report of a non-injury, hit-and-run vehicle accident.

The owner of a truck reported to police that the vehicle, parked on West Downing Street had been sideswiped by an unknown driver in another vehicle. Damage to the truck included the front left fender and the detachment of the left rear view mirror.

A woman visited the police station on Thursday to report that a person used her food stamp card without her permission. The woman stated that a suspect took her purse while she was being held in jail and made more than $500 in purchases with the card.

Also on Thursday, a man visited the TPD station to file a vandalism report, stating that the back window of his vehicle was shattered.
