Woman reports assault

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to a woman Friday about an assault.

Monica Owens said she went to a rent home to do an inspection, and when she began to take photographs, the tenant’s mother assaulted her.

In other matters, Jesika Rigney reported an assault Saturday.

Lloyd McDaniel and Sunny McDaniel reported threats Saturday.

Glenn Johnson reported an assault Saturday.

Dorothy Toney said someone violated a protective order Saturday.

Deputies took a report over the weekend of the possible sexual abuse of two children.
