Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies say they arrested a 15-year-old boy this week after he became intoxicated and shoved an officer.
Deputies were called to the Park Hill area to try calming the teen, who had reportedly consumed vodka. The boy allegedly refused to lower his voice and shoved a deputy, then spat on him. The deputy said he had to handcuff the boy and transport him to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said the teen tried to kick out vehicle windows and escape custody several times during the transport. He was later released to a family member.
