Tahlequah police arrested a juvenile early Saturday morning after a traffic stop near Fourth and Park Hill streets.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle was being placed under arrest for curfew violation. While officers were trying to arrest the teenager, he allegedly refused to follow orders to hang up his cell phone, and forcefully pulled away from Officer Pam Bell. Bell’s report indicates the teen was then taken to the ground by officers and handcuffed. Police said the boy was later checked for a collarbone injury and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, then released into the custody of his mother.
