According to the report, Winchester appeared to be intoxicated, had dilated pupils and was described as nervous. Winchester requested medical treatment and was transported to Tahlequah City Hospital. He left when he was informed a toxicology screen would need to be conducted before treatment could proceed. Winchester was found at a nearby EZ Mart, disoriented and unsteady on his feet. He was reported to be carrying a 6-inch fixed blade.
