Man arrested in wake of traffic stop for intoxication

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police officers arrested a man early Saturday morning after a traffic stop.

Officer Pam Bell said she was asked by dispatchers to check near Downing and the bypass for a possible intoxicated driver in a blue Ford truck. Bell said she saw a vehicle matching that description and noticed it travel left of center and fail to maintain a lane. She stopped and arrested Michael L. Soap, 23, of Tahlequah, who was allegedly intoxicated.

Police arrested Krister L. Maxey, 21, Tahlequah, for driving under the influence Saturday after a traffic stop near Vinita and Allen.

Samantha Drywater, 18, Tahlequah, was arrested Sunday morning along with several juveniles who were drinking alcohol at a loud party.

Leslie M. Rosson, 42, Fort Gibson, was arrested Saturday for DUI drugs and driving while revoked.

David Baldridge, 26, Tahlequah, was arrested early Monday morning for possession of drug paraphernalia at Felts Park on Basin Avenue.

Mac A. Cook, 23, Tahlequah, was arrested Friday for DUI, driving while suspended, and transporting open container.

Samantha James spoke to police Sunday when she arrived home and realized several items were missing, including a Sony DVD player and several DVDs.

Jacob Bartel filed a report Sunday when he found his apartment’s back door had been broken. A black, 50-inch Sanyo TV was missing, along with an X-Box 360, a black 32-inch Sanyo TV, and a sound bar.

Savannah Ford filed a report over the weekend after an unknown suspect used her credit card to make unauthorized purchases online.

Jolene Tinnin filed a harassment report Thursday.

Francisca Santana talked with officers Saturday after a “vicious animal” gave chase to him on Earl Street.

Derrick Rill told police Sunday an intruder broke into his vehicle.

Daniel Jackson filed a stolen chainsaw report recently.

Police took a theft report last week from Doyle Zimbelman.
