Man’s home ransacked twice in one week

TAHLEQUAH — A local man spoke with deputies this week after his home was broken into twice in a matter of days and ransacked.

The man said the first occurrence was discovered Monday, when his front door was open. Inside, he found the suspect had used a permanent marker to write on his bed sheets, and had drawn inappropriate photos. A pillow was also torn.

Two days later, his home was again burglarized. Red lipstick had been used to write inappropriate words on a mirror.

Two chairs had been cut, and a bed comforter had been bleached. The man also found a cup of liquid that contained a bullet on the bed. A kitchen knife had been stabbed into the bed, and other items had been vandalized.

In other matters, deputies spoke with Teresa Walkabout this week after she was assaulted. Walkabout said she was pushed down and choked by the man.

Dale Littlefield spoke with deputies Wednesday after his gate was stolen and later found at a local scrap yard. Littlefield also told deputies some rebar, which county officials had placed on a road, had been taken from the area and was also at the scrap yard.

Sally Durant filed a vandalism report Tuesday.

Deputies took a dog-bite report Wednesday after a 4-year-old girl was bitten on the left side of her face.
