Man accused of stealing makeup

TAHLEQUAH — Authorities say a man arrested Wednesday for stealing products from the makeup aisle in Walmart also had several pills without a prescription.

Walmart employees told Tahlequah Reserve Officer Austin Yates that 25-year-old Max R. Talbert, Tahlequah, was seen taking from the makeup aisle and concealing the product in his pants. Talbert then allegedly went to the doors and left without paying.

Yates, who arrived and conducted a pat-down on Talbert, said the suspect had a prescription pill bottle with its label removed.

The bottle contained several pills, later identified as Lortabs.

Talbert was booked into jail for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and larceny from a retailer.
