Sheriff's Beat: Local man arrested on drug-related charges

TAHLEQUAH — A 22-year-old Tahlequah man was jailed on drug-related charges this week after deputies served an arrest warrant.

Bradley Wayne Anderson was found in the Caney Ridge area when Deputy Bob Lewandowski went to serve a warrant. Anderson allegedly had a small pipe in his jeans, and the pipe was loaded with a small amount of marijuana. Deputies said they also discovered a prescription pill in Anderson’s possession. He was booked for possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

Timothy Keith Gourd, 47, of Lost City, was arrested last week for driving under the influence, driving under suspension, transporting an open container of beer, no seat belt, taxes due state, possession of marijuana and no insurance. Deputies said Gourd drove through a safety checkpoint. He smelled of alcohol, had no license or insurance, had a tag that expired in 2013, had an open Budweiser in the center console, and had a clear bag containing marijuana.

Deputies spoke to Amy Gan this week after Gan’s 2000 Ford F-150 extended cab truck was stolen. Deputies said the truck is gray and has a tag of 645-KXZ.

Gene Barrington told deputies about a home burglary this week.

Katie Crow reported being assaulted Tuesday.
