Police Beat: Tulsa man arrested

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police officers arrested a Tulsa man Wednesday night after a traffic stop near Burger King on Muskogee Avenue.

Gordon W. Peck, 79, allegedly drove over a curb. Police saw the incident and ultimately arrested Peck for driving under the influence and transporting an open container.

In other matters, officers took a report this week from Jewell Lahti, who said a woman has made over $7,000 worth of unauthorized charges to Lahti’s credit card.

Sharon Latta filed a theft report Wednesday.

Johnna Snyder spoke with police when she discovered a rent house had been burglarized. Snyder said the suspects had also turned on all of the gas burners in the home, and the residence was full of natural gas. The Tahlequah Fire Department also responded to the home.
