Man jailed for theft

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man after he allegedly tried to steal an air conditioner.

Police responded to a complaint from Medical Equipment Affiliates that a window unit was stolen from the east end of the building. Shortly afterward, a man was found inside a vehicle parked behind the business. Police say the man, Scott W. Ragsdale, fled the scene but was later arrested near Boone Street. Ragsdale was booked on suspicion of second degree burglary.

Officers responded to a complaint Wednesday by Amanda Ernsten that a residence had been burglarized and a computer stolen.

On Wednesday, Jennifer Acuff entered the police station to report a tire slashed.

The Bank of Cherokee County filed a complaint of vandalism on Wednesday, reporting damage to sidewalks, a railing and a water drain.

On Wednesday, Debra Parker told police that someone had broken into her car in front of her residence and that items were missing from inside.

Terry L. Johnson reported on Wednesday that he was bitten by a small cat that he protected from attack by his dogs.
