TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Sapulpa man last week after a disturbance call.

Deputy Bronson McNiel said he was called to a harassment report on Qualls Road Thursday. The second time McNiel responded, he was told Donald George Gideon, 57, had been pulling into the reporting person’s driveway, honking his horn and yelling profanities.

Officers went to a nearby residence and visited with Gideon, who reportedly gave deputies permission to search the residence after they learned he was a convicted felon and might have a firearm.

Authorities said they located a shotgun and shotgun shells in the home. Gideon was booked for possession of a firearm after a previous felony conviction.

Deputies also spoke to Mary Austin, who said her dog was taken Friday.

Dennis Davis reported theft of a four-wheeler, lawn mower, furniture, electronics and more last week.

Claudia Castillo filed an information report last Thursday.

Ann Reneau reported the theft of a hot water tank Friday.

Robert Holbird reported a road rage incident Friday after someone tried to run him off the road.
