Man jailed for attacking woman, teenager


TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police filed a report this week on the recent arrest of a man for domestic assault and battery.

Terry Braden, 53, allegedly attacked a woman because she left her phone at home when she went shopping. During the assault, a teenage girl attempted to intervene and Braden allegedly struck her in the face, causing a bloody nose and busted lip. When police arrived, Braden met them outside and told them he was ready to go to jail, according to a report of the arrest.

Police arrested Carl D. Guernsey, 36, and Danny R. Sanders, 22, both of Tahlequah, for shoplifting at Reasor’s Wednesday.

Steven Stockwell reported the theft of his iPad this week.

Officers spoke to Eric Shankles on Wednesday when Shankles said a man tried to force his way into a residence and punched Shankles in the face.
